We stopped by Mom's house last night to say hello, and to pick up Mom's old old old golf clubs. Colette and I are on the activities committee for our Stake Youth Conference, and we have our Youth Conference this Friday-Saturday and needed them for an activity.
Colette is in charge of a team-building activity that involves two 2x4's, a 6 lengths of rope about 4-5 feet long and the object to get 6 people from point A to point B without touching the ground. And that's all the instructions that they are given. If that's too easy then she'll initiate the "no talking" rule. That should be fun.
I am in charge of a golfing game that requires every member of a 10-person team to hit the ball exactly one time and the end result is "ball-in-the-hole". So if you hit the ball too short or too long - eeehhhh - try again, oh and it's a timed event. That sounds fun too. Of course I needed to get some golf clubs for just such an event, and didn't want to use my own, (imagine 600 lunatic raving teenagers with one of your prized possessions) so I went to the DI and I found a 3-Iron for $1! I still needed one more, so I borrowed one of mom's old golf clubs - since she hasn't used them since,...about the time I was 2-years old.
Back at Mom's, David and Hollie, James and Tara Jo, and Mr Pickett were playing Bang and they were playing a interesting variation, they were playing using 2 characters! Wow! Don't you wish that you were there?
Mom was chatting with her brother Darryl about the bond issue involving the new jail (?!?) and I'm sure that's why he called...! He had some of the same problems that Dad had this last week with extreme heat and power outages. They seem to be doing well.

wow. I think there are 2 sets of clubs there. I wonder if the left-handed set is too short for me?
Anyway, I don't golf. I wonder if golf is a left-eye-right-eye thing like shooting. I shoot left-handed with right-handed guns... when I shoot at all.
Lookin good Techs. Lookin almost as good as our blog.
I have the left-handed set of golf clubs. Since I am (at least WAS the only left-handed Techmeyer at the time...) the only left-handed Techmeyer.....and since I bought the clubs myself, I took them with me when I moved to St Louie. I left tons of other stuff there, but I took my clubs.
