How do you move a train?

I have to start out by saying that Gpa Nebeker knew how to build stuff to last.  When he built the train set up in his loft, he wasn't planning on taking it out - ever!  So he was our biggest foe in trying to prove him wrong in thinking that it could be done.  In reality it could be done, but I would not attach the word simple to any part of moving that train set.

Video Capture of the "over the rail moment"
Step 1: Get it out of the loft. Done. Step 2: Take a break. Doing.

Kyle brought the trailer over and it fit quite nicely.
What goes out has to come back in...except it's not that easy.

Brandon is moving mountains to get this to work. And that mountain wasn't just going to bust off.  I told you that Gpa knew how to build.
We had almost 0 damage in the move.  The control box broke off, and a few trees.  That's about it.

And this is where it sits today, relocated in the Case's Basement.  It'll need some re-assembly and a bit of touch up paint, but amazingly the track is all intact after all that.

Gma graciously agreed to take the video.  It doesn't quite do it justice, but it gives you the idea of the peril that I was in as we were taking it out of the loft.
